About the Nigerian Air Force Basic Military Training Course (BMTC 46/2025)

The Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) is a short-term program designed for young Nigerians who wish to enlist as Airmen and Airwomen. Successful candidates will undergo intensive military training to develop essential technical, tactical, and leadership skills required to serve in the Nigerian Air Force.

This opportunity is open to both Non-Tradesmen/Women and Tradesmen/Women categories.


Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Nigerian Air Force BMTC 46/2025 recruitment, applicants must meet the following conditions:

Non-Tradesmen/Women

  • Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
  • Must be between 18 and 22 years old by the time of application.
  • Must not be less than 1.66m tall (males) and 1.63m tall (females).
  • Must possess a minimum of five (5) credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/NBAIS.

Tradesmen/Women

  • Must be between 18 and 27 years old.
  • Must possess ND/NCE with at least Lower Credit or Trade Test Certificate in addition to five (5) credits in SSCE, including Mathematics and English.
  • Drivers must present a valid driver’s license.
  • Sportsmen and women should provide evidence of professional experience, including certificates and medals.

Required Documents

Applicants must print and submit the following forms after completing the online application:

  1. Acknowledgement Form
  2. Parent/Guardian Consent Form
  3. Local Government Area Attestation Form – to be signed by one of the following:
    • Military Officer not below the rank of Wing Commander
    • Police Officer not below the rank of Chief Superintendent
    • Local Government Chairman/Secretary
    • Magistrate from applicant’s state of origin

Note: These forms will not be generated for invalid applicants.

  • Applicants must be physically, medically, and psychologically fit according to Nigerian Air Force standards.
  • Applicants must be free of any criminal convictions by a court of law.
  • Falsification of documents automatically leads to disqualification.
