Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the NPF recruitment, applicants must:

  1. Be a Nigerian citizen by birth
  2. Be mentally and physically fit
  3. Be free from financial embarrassment
  4. Be of good character
  5. Not have any criminal conviction
  6. Present two reputable referees
  7. Be aged 18–25 for General Duty, not above 28 for Specialists
  8. Female applicants must not be pregnant
  9. Be free from certain physical deformities
  10. Meet height requirements:
  • Male: 1.67m minimum
  • Female: 1.64m minimum
  1. Chest measurement (males): minimum 86cm

Educational Qualifications

1. General Duty Applicants

Must have:

  • GCE/WAEC/NECO/NABTEB
  • Minimum 5 credits, including Mathematics and English
  • Not more than two sittings

2. Specialist Applicants

  • Same SSCE requirements as above
  • Additional Trade Test Certificates
  • Driver’s Licence (for drivers)
