Türkiye Scholarship: 2022 Ted University Scholarship for International Students

The 2022 Ted University Scholarship is currently open for interested and qualified candidates willing to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Türkiye.

The Ted University Scholarship is offered as tuition fee waiver up to $9,000 for selected candidates.

Successful candidates are also offered percentage decrease up to 50% in accommodation fees while studying at the university. 

Scholarship Details

The Ted University scholarship offers tuition-free awards to eligible international students applying to study in the university.

Turkish Education Association has established a powerful scholarship system to offer financial and moral support to students who are successful yet do not have sufficient financial means to continue their education, and as a result, it has awarded scholarships to about 48.000 students since its inception.

Ted University scholarship eligibility

Students who have graduated from any institution that is equivalent to Turkish high-schools and those who meet the application criteria below may apply for the undergraduate programs at TED University.

1) On the condition that they have graduated or are expecting graduation from a high-school;

a) International students (non-Turkish citizens)

b) Those holding Turkish citizenship by birth and renounced their Turkish citizenship, and their children under 18 who are listed in the renouncement document but documenting their certification for rights mentioned in the Turkish Citizenship Law, no: 5901, Item 7, stating that “Anyone born, either in Turkey or abroad, in the marriage of a Turkish mother or father, is a Turkish citizen.” Candidates who wish to apply within the “applications from abroad” category should examine the Turkish Citizenship Law.

c) Those who hold citizenship of other countries by birth and have gained the citizenship of the Republic of Turkey / those who hold dual-citizenship

d) a) Among those who continue their secondary education abroad before the date 2/1/2013 and who hold the citizenship of the Republic of Turkey, those who have completed their last three years of secondary education in another country, other than Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (including those who have completed their whole secondary education in a Turkish institution under the Ministry of Education of Turkey in another country, other than TRNC)

e) Those who start their secondary education abroad after the date 2/1/2013 and who have completed their whole high school education in another country, other than TRNC (including those who have completed their whole secondary education in a Turkish institution under the Ministry of Education of Turkey in another country, other than TRNC);

f) Those who hold the citizenship of TRNC, who reside in TRNC and who have completed their secondary education in a GCE AL system, as well as those who have registered and completed their secondary education in a GCE AL system abroad between 2005-2010 can apply.

2) Applicants who cannot apply are the ones;

a) Who hold the citizenship of the Republic of Turkey, and have completed their secondary education in Turkey or in TRNC

b) Who hold the citizenship of TRNC (except for those who have completed their whole secondary education in a GCE AL system in TRNC, and those who have registered and completed/will complete their secondary education in a GCE AL system abroad between 2005-2010)

c) Who hold a dual citizenship, one of which is a citizenship of the Republic of Turkey by birth, as stated in article 1, item b above (except for those who satisfy the criteria stated in article 1, item d

d) Who hold a dual citizenship, one of which is a citizenship of TRNC (except for those who have completed their whole secondary education in a GCE AL system in TRNC, and those who have registered and completed/will complete their secondary education in a GCE AL system abroad between 2005-2010)

e) Who hold a citizenship of the Republic of Turkey or a dual citizenship, one of which is the a citizenship of the Republic of Turkey by birth, as stated in article 2, item b above, and who have completed their secondary education in institutions within an embassy or in other foreign institutions in Turkey.
